Suiker Unie will begin producing renewable gas during this beet campaign using two methane reactors, in Dinteloord and Vierverlaten.

Energy producer Essent will buy green gas certificates from Suiker Unie for a period of five years. For both companies it is the first time they will make use of the trading platform operated by Vertogas, the new certifying body for green gas. <more>
