Blended syrups

Blended syrups are customised products

Blended syrups are customised sweet solutions with a basis of sugar, fructose and glucose syrup. Suiker Unie tailors the blended syrups to the required sweet profile, texture and cost price of the end product. If requested we can also add other ingredients such as colouring agents, preservatives and thickening agents.

When developing customised blended syrup Suiker Unie makes use of the Cosun Food Technology Centre (CFTC). In addition to sophisticated equipment, this R&D centre has a technical-sensory tasting panel that enables us to develop any blended syrup requested.

By outsourcing production (blending of raw ingredients) customers can fully focus on, and specialise in, their core activities. With outsourcing (replacement) investments in storage and blending equipment are no longer necessary. And with less handling, such as the dissolving of sugar and the blending of syrups, customers can increase their productivity. The quality and the food safety of their products increases and the risk of weighing errors or missing ingredients is reduced.
